In August 2019, Alan and Cynthia Blain opened Blain On Main on the High Street in Greyton. In Less than 3 months the eatery was afforded the only Trip Advisor 5 Star rating in Greyton. This accolade still stands today!

With a combined 60 years experience in the Restaurant trade, they bring a wealth of hard won experience to the table, if you will excuse the pun. 20 years ago Cynthia had 'The Greyton Baking Company', and sold farm bread and baked goods at the Greyton Market, before leaving Greyton in 2002 for Whipstock Guest Farm near McGregor. They have run the gamut of variety in Restaurants, from franchises, (Mikes Kitchen and Nandos) coffee bars, ( 'De Oude Kombuis' in Robertson, and 6 years at 'The Oak and Vigne' in Greyton, to a La Carte ( '39 Havelock Street' in Port Elizabeth), and still love producing fresh, flavour filled meals. Value for money, fairness in pricing, great attention to their supplier base, and an almost fanatical desire to produce food with fresh ingredients, have always been part of their core values.

Currently they have had to shift their focus to survival, and now offer that same passion to their delivery business. With Covid-19 ravaging our country and planet, their focus has been on a family oriented operation, and to focus on health and safety, both for them and their clients. This means re-learning old lessons from take away business during their 10 years with Nandos, and adjusting to the particular threats posed by this pandemic. In a world filled with dread and uncertainty, we hope to give you some thing you can be sure of. Great food, quality ingredients and love in every bite.
